LED tape light double sided tape adhered to galvanized material

Anyone have experience sticking the tape light to a steel galvanized material?
What’s the best method for cleaning the surface before applying the tape light?

I always run a bead of clear silicone down the side too to help it hold

Baby wipes are really good for cleaning almist any surface you want to stick your lights to.

I almost always use aluminum channel

I like contact cement for hard-to-stick surfaces.

I would use epoxy glue and clamp it while it sets.

^{your going to have to use a bonding compound. No matter how well you clean it, the tape will eventually fall off in spots. Either post 5# #6 or, #7 will take care of you I vote for #5.Do you have a picture of what you want to attach to and achieve.}

I have never depended solely on the adhesive tape. I buy some straps and put them on every so often for under cabinet lights or use a track with a lensed cover designed to put the lights inside of where more exposed or subject to abuse.
