Does anyone LEED ceerify here? Question:

Lighting control - Does LEED has any requirement for automatic shut off control as IECC or ASHARE or it only refers to other parties on this? Thanks!

For the light polution reduction credit, you must demonstrate that the lights which are located in rooms with exterior windows are on automatic controls. You can also demonstrate that the angle of maximum candela does not intersect the window glazing, but occupancy sensors are so common now because of ASHRAE 90.1 that I see most project teams using occupancy sensors to comply with this requirement.

For the lighting control credit, you are not required to demonstrate that automatic lighting controls have been provided, but rather you just need to demonstrate that a percentage of individual workstations and all multi-occupancy spaces are provided with lighting controls. (In open office cubicles, task lighting can count towards the individual lighting controls. In private offices, the light switch at the door for the overhead light counts as individual lighting control.)
