This may not be the right for if that the case I am sorry. Does anyone have any suggestion on what to do with material not used on a job and can not be returned. Example I have 60 brass Walker Floor Box covers (data/phone/recpt.) left over from a job. Walker will not take them back and I tired of see them setting in the shop. Any suggestion would help.
Thanks

Soccerdude,
If real estate is at a premium in your shop, I have 3 choices for you:
  1. eBay...good luck
  2. swap with another EC..good luck
  3. scrap yard...the material isn't making you any money as it is.

sell `em on

Why do you have 60 Walker brass floor covers? How did someone miss a project that bad? If not how did you get by putting 60 floor boxes in without covers?I could see if you bought the covers in a salvage sale or something but how could they be left over from a job? Unless the supply house double shipped.

Will the supply house not take and send the covers back to the factory for a restock fee? Sure it waste about 25% but what good are they doing anyways?

Sounds like it may be feasible to keep those and next time a job comes up with 60 floor boxes with Walker brass covers, just add the cost of the covers in and do not have any markup. That way you get the bid plus the cost of the brass covers back. Last time I checked we got those covers for about $30 each from the supply house.
