I am talking remotely monitored. Is there a NFPA requirement, NEC, Requirement, etc. To have a notification sent if the generator is "Not available to back up a life safety system" such as "not in auto" or "Low Fuel" or "Did not start due to Overcrank" etc. Periodic testing can be once a week or the "NFPA required once a month life safety run and transfer" I have heard that remote monitoring is required unless there is a 24 hour person on duty to supervise "like a building engineer" But I cannot find any documentation requiring that the generator status be monitored by a fire alarm or a security system or simply a remote dialer. I Am in Redmond, Washington if anyone has any local law/rules knowledge.
