Trying to find anyone w/ Leviton DHC experience. How reliable were they and were they easily interfered with? I'm an electrical and residential contractor. I want to do a simple automation setup in a few spec homes, but not something that's going to give me headaches 6 mo. after someone moves in. Thanks for any input.

These are, I believe, X10 units, and are thus subject to all the usual X10 problems. If the home is not on it's own pole transformer, fit a whole house X10 filter at the main panel to keep out other X10. Some appliances absorb X10 PLC signals, so that the system stops working (or partially stops working) when some appliance is plugged in.

I would not consider an X10 based system to be something installed onto an unknowing homeowner, its really for the enthusiast. The non-X10 systems (eg Lutron, Litetouch) are a different matter.

In business terms, home automation is largely a service business, rather than a sales business, but not at the bottom end of the market.

yep. after some more research i've decided not to use this. thanks for the reply. if i'm going to do it, its going to have to be something more reliable, and it'll cost more.
