With EV chargers being considered as continuous loads, is it acceptable to use the EV heavy duty receptacle with #6 cu. installed in EMT (not Romex) and use a 2 pole 60 amp breaker? I know the wire is good for it since it's not Romex at 60 C. I'm just not sure about the 50 amp rating of the receptacle on a 60 amp breaker.

50A receptacle may not be on a 60A circuit, 210.21(B)(1).

For a 60A branch circuit for a 48A EVSE, you'd need to use a 60A rated receptacle, if they exist and if operating under a version of the NEC for which 625.44 allows it (not 2017 or 2020; didn't check 2023 or 2026 First Draft). Otherwise, hardwire it.

A 60A receptacle is allowed as of 2023.
