These have been available for a while. Most equate them with backstab, but they have a better more positive connection. Any feedback back on them?

If it was for something that required periodic removal, I could see the logic for these, Wagos, etc.

For permanent connections, screw terminals and wire-nuts have served well for over a century.

I've used them. I like them for non feed through situations. Switches on LED loads don't concern me with these. I don't like them for box fill though that take a bit more and so box full of dimmers I don't use them. They also need midway plates or you have to snap the top and bottom off.

I would use them if they were cheaper. I saw some at Lowe's but the price point was out of range.
I've got them from HD and the price was similar to other quality TR receptacles there, I don't buy those cheap 87 cent out of the bin ones. Have had more issues with the cheap ones when the GC had installed them vs the better ones.

When I rewired my house in 85 I used the .49 receptacles from local discount hardware. Some are still being used in bedrooms that have minimal loads. Kitchen receptacles are newer and some of those have been replaced. Like Larry mentioned I prefer wire nuts and side terminations

Must have been HD. HD's contract with Leviton does not allow them to sell to Lowes.

Similar to how it was with Klein tools up until recently. When HD's contract expired they decided to bring in Milwaukee as the primary line of hand tools and Klein was able to get a contract with Lowes.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think Lowe's sells Eaton devices.
