LFNC on the ground.

Can LFNC be laid directly on the ground for 2-3 feet or must it be held up an inch or two so it’s not “laying on the ground”
I saw an installation today where LFNC was connected to a pipe about a foot above grade, then ran 2’ over to a generator.

There are support requirements for LFNC also there is this which is subjective but IMO this can easily be damaged with a lawn mower.

356.12 Uses Not Permitted. LFNC shall not be used as follows:

I would have come out the right side of the junction box and zip tied to the gas pipe with rated zip ties to keep off the ground
