Re: Licensing in GA

I think the general rule is that a license is only good where it is issued. I've heard of some municipalities that will accept licenses issued by another municipality, but I've never heard of a state that will allow people licensed in another state to do any work there without first obtaining a state license.

They might have a reciprocity deal whereby your Virginia license will allow you to obtain a Georgia license without having to take a test, but that all varies from place to place. Some states don't do reciprocity at all.

Your best best is to contact the licensing authorities in Georgia and see what they have to say.

Re: Licensing in GA

Roger, the link you posted will not work for me. DO I need additional access to mikeholt.com to get there?

Re: Licensing in GA

Billy, it won't work for me right now either.

There must be something else wrong, give it a little time and try it again.

Hello Billy,

This offer may be too late, but I am a licensed contractor in Georgia, Tennessee and other states, maybe I could be of assistance to you.
