Michigan licensing requirements and contact info HERE

Don't know if they have a Limited Energy license or not, but I do know that you have to have a resident agent or live there to get an electrical license.

Not really: Examination Eligibility of Applicants From Other States or Countries
A person who is licensed as a journeyman electrician in another state or country may qualify for examination upon determination
by the board that the license was obtained by the person through substantially the same or equal requirements as those of the
State of Michigan in accordance with the provisions of section 3a of the act

Yes, really.

Quote from their website :
[FONT=Arial,Helvetica][FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1]Qualifications for Electrical Contractor License
?Holds a master electrician's license or has not less than 1 master electrician residing in this state who is in his or her full-time employ. The master electrician shall be actively in charge of and responsible for code compliance of all installations of electrical wiring and equipment.

[FONT=Arial,Helvetica][FONT=arial, helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1][FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1]?Out-of-state corporations will not qualify for a contractor's license unless they employ a master electrician residing in the state of Michigan.

Seems pretty clear to me.
