Was wondering if anyone here might know whether an electricians license is required in the state of Utah to install automation equipment such as RTU's, PLC's and electronic flow measurement equipment. All I deal with is 24 volts or less DC using batteries and solar panels. If anyone knows, please reply. The guys with the state don't really seem to know--like they've never dealt with that question before and are having to decide themselves.

I'm not positive, but the people you need to talk with are at DOPL. Get with Ed Short, Gordon Summers or Dennis Miservy. If you talk with Ed or Dennis, tell them I said hello
