We took over a project from another electrical contractor My question is he had critical and life safety loads going into a 6 ftx6ft j box installed underground from the generator to the j box we installed sealtight in the j box to keep those seprate from all the other feeds passing through the box going to other panels inside of building.Is this legal

I know this is not the answer you're looking for but, it will be up to the AHJ. If the AHJ can see it as being "entirely independent" of each other and all other systems you should be ok, if not it will have to be changed.

The AHJ wouldn’t budge.
The acting head inspector brought inspectors from 3 Different cities and those three found nothing wrong with our install.acting head inspectors answer was he did not feel comfortable signing off on it.
