Life safety elevators

If I have a 5 story building with an emergency generator and the generator is feeding an emergency panel via an ATS. Can the life safety elevator be fed from the emergency panel OR I should feed it directly from the generator via a second ATS?!

Typically Elevators are required by the building codes to be connected to standby power not emergency power. You will need to have a separate transfer switch for the standby power.

Contact your locally building department and see what the building code requirements are.

I know that the IBC section 2702.2.5 and 2702.2.19 require that the power for accessible means of egress elevators and standard elevators need to be supplied by standby power.
