1. In a Hospital, are Life Safety panels required on each floor the Life Safety circuit it is serving?

2. In a Hospital, are there restrictions for Life Safety branch wiring that passes between floors?
ie. MI cable requirements.

3. Do Critical Panels have fire rated protection requirements?

#1 may depend on your location, or the adopted code. For example, in my location, Life Safety Panels are allowed to supply branch circuits up one floor and down one floor. So a LS panel on the 2nd floor can serve floors 1 through 3.

#2 No, I don't know of any requirement for LS branch circuit wiring to be protected. If you asked about a LS panel feeder, it would be a more difficult question.

#3; This could be a 30 min discussion, but generally the ones I've seen, its enough if they are installed in spaces with fire protection (sprinklers).
