Life safety wiring- metal conduit required

Hi all, Does life safety branch wiring need to be in metal conduit? I thought so but don't see anything in article 700. I don't see LS feeders need to be in metal conduit either. There is new (2017) language for 2 hr rated feeders but that's it. Thanks!

You are using the term Life Safety, are you refering to the Life Safety Branch for Hospitals? If so see 517.30(C)(3).

This is specifically for office emergency lighting (from a generator) which falls under article 700.

I am aware hospitals are a pretty clearcut YES per the article you cited. Thank you.
