I was just at LFI yesterday. I should have checked before I went to see if any of you would be there. Oh well.

If any of you made it, what did you think?

I think it's amazing how the technologies are progressing. Soon I think that incandescents and even fluorescents will (for the most part) be a thing of the past. Although, supply & demand will have to bring the price of LEDs down a bit for most people to take the leap.

Hi CHris,

Did Philips have their six guys wearing the LED shirts this year? Or the LED couch? That technology is too spendy compared to recessed LED shower luminaires. The maintenance economics factor is driving more LED usage even in residential. rbj

gndrod,

I didn't see either of those (not to say they weren't there).

Some of these newer LED products looked like incandescent, halogen, xenon.... light. I had to look close to see that the source was LED (and I have to say that I have a pretty discerning eye for color temp and CRI). It's truly amazing.

Until I went to this show I said the same thing as you, augie, but after seeing the quality of these LEDs with CRI in the 90s I'd be using them in a heartbeat if they were more affordable.
