I know manufacturers have lights that are advertised as being suitable for natatorium use.

Is that I code requirement somewhere? If so, where?

I'm wondering exactly when and where it applies. Just for example, does it apply to a residential swimming pool, or only commercial ones?

Do you have a link to one of these lights?

It's mostly that I've heard one of the lighting reps state that certain fixtures are good for pool areas. I guess I assumed that meant there was some code requirement for it.

Now that I search for natatorium listings, it looks like one particular brand (Kennall) has certain fixtures with a "Natatorium" option. I guess that just means they are designed to last longer in a pool environment, and doesn't necessarily mean some natatorium listing is required.

But still, this website:

https://www.acuitybrands.com/industries/education-lighting/applications/natatorium

states that : "Natatorium lighting fixtures and controls must be designed and certified to safely operate in a wet and warm environment."

That still makes it sound like there is some listing requirement beyond a wet listing.

So I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing some requirement that I wasn't aware of.
