light pole rounding

Installed a 20 foot light pole . It has a egc from the panel. Didnt see a bonding lug for the pole only the ground from the fixtures. Is this ok to ground the pole through the fixture ? or do you have also physically bond the pole?

u also have to bond the pole, drill a hole and tap it for a 10-32, for a green grounding screw or a lug

Sometimes...but not this time

I find a 1/4 - 20 or larger bolt works better for this application.

See 410.15(B)(3). A means for connecting the EGC to the pole itself is required.

You're right I should have said "almost never". If you choose to use a screw as a main bonding jumper or a system bonding jumper than it is required to be green. Although it doesn't have to be a screw.
