Light recommendation

I have a project where a customer has asked me to suggest a fixture for replacement. They prefer not to retrofit the existing light. Can anyone recommend a fixture suitable for either surface mounting or an old work style? The ceiling height is 40 feet, and the current light measures 7 inches wide by 21 inches long.

Thank you

Looks like specialized stage spot lighting, and very expensive to maintain.

I would recommend abandoning 40ft ceiling lights, and installing wall sconces, serviceable from conventional ladders.

If commercial, uniform illumination,
may not advisable

Be cautious here. That fixture is obviously a directional Wall Washer. The heads are aimable. I would get VERY clear instruction as to how they want those lights to function. You picture implies there is a fair amount of ambient light in the room during the day. How much light is desired at night? Even light, more or less light on the balcony walkways than the floor below (I notice the pendant fixtures in the background, so not all areas are alike)? Are there going to be lighting controls (may be required for and upgrade including daylight harvesting. What about aesthetics, are they very important, somewhat important, or don't really care? Those are just the immediate questions that come to my mind. Once all of that is clear, I would likely engage a Distributor and work with them to determine what lights and layout. You don't say where you are located, but I mean the vendor who sells to your supply house.
