If a lighting circuit has half normal half em/nL do they share a neutral ? Can someone explain please
The round pendent lights are circuit #6 which is half normal half em/nL so no from the same circuit BUT it's why I mentioned the 1900 box because from the panel they pulled one black one red ONE whiteAre there multiple circuits from different sources feeding these lights?
They don't have batteriesIf the circuits are from the same source (the lights having batteries) you can share neutrals.
Somebody as of this morning I'm now being told it's an entirely different circuit from a different panel which still has me scratching my head because that now means 2 circuits are landing in the same round boxOk, so you have a generator or UPS feeding the emergency wiring? IOW's different sources, Normal Power and Emergency Power source.
Then the circuits cannot share even a raceway, so no way can they share a neutral. They don't have batteries
