Lighting control and receptacle location

Does anyone know a code section pertaining to how far from a door the switch controlled lighting outlet or the switch shall be placed?

There is no code that requires a lighting outlet or switch to be within x feet of door.

The only requirement of this is for storage and equipment spaces, about the only thing you will find: 210.70(A)(3)
