Do lighting outlet circuits have to be arch-fault protected?A lighting outlet is a outlet intended for the direct connection of a luminaire or lampholder.I have a inspector who is telling me it has to be protected the same as receptacle outlets and that the two outlets are considered the same,but you are not able to plug in utilization equipment in a lighting outlet box.There are no receptacles on these circuits.
