Have a customer wanting to have an electrician come out and take a look at some burnt wiring at an Ceiling fan that was supposedly caused by an Lightning Strike. Never really worked on a lightning strike and was wanting to see what others have done to check the electrical circuits out. Customer says everything else works but a ceiling box in Den. Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Honestly the best thing to do would be to check everything you can and megger the wires also.

I'm sorry not to give you a citation, but I didn't save the link. A paper, probably from the NFPA web site, described several houses which caught fire months after a lightning strike.
How certain is it that the damage was from a lightning strike? They are full of surprises but that seems like awfully limited and specific damage if Reddy Gigawatt had been let loose to play on the wiring.
