Lightning Protection For Underground Tornado Shelter

I am wiring up an Underground Tornado Shelter. This is essentially a giant steel box. Should I be concerned about lightning strikes on the shelter? Will this shelter attract lightning? If so will the lightning effectively stay on the shell and not necessarily damage the appliances in the shelter or injure its occupants? Do grounds help?

Thanks for the insight.

As a box, it should act as a safety cage; being buried, it's as earthed as it can be.

In my opinion, nothing else needs to be done or added for lightning protection.
