Is it okay to run lightning protection down lead conduits through steel columns that form the pathway from the ground level to the roof?
This is a three-story residential building with a lightning protection protocol. At the ground floor level are concrete columns. However, on the 2nd floor, the columns are steel. Whereas the columns revert to concrete on the 3rd floor where the roof sits.
My concern is, how will the system be impacted in the event of a lightning strike.
I will appreciate your responses to my humble post. Thanks. Kofi Agyin
