We have used the Cree #GR8 adapter ring with 6" trims.

Have you only used them with 6" Cree retrofit LED's?
Do you know if they are compatible with any other 6" LED retrofit brands?

We call them "goof rings" for when they cut the hole too big..... Lithonia makes them also. Haven't bought one in years so I couldn't tell you a part number, but they'll work with pretty much any trim.

thanks....I've had 2 different residential customers recently that have 7" cans in their kitchens (houses built in the 70's). Both were interested in having me retrofit with LED's. I guess I'll see how the "goof rings" work.
