I know a line reactor helps with VFD operation.
Does one help the with any issue the VFD may cause on the incoming power?
Is there a benefit other than to the VFD?

A line reactor helps reduce harmonics generated by a variable frequency drive (VFD) by adding impedance to the power line, which acts to smooth out the current draw and limit the rapid changes in current that create harmonics; essentially acting as a filter against these harmonic distortions on the incoming line.
