Re: Liquid tigh flex wireway

To: tadziu, You will need to be more specific, when you ask your question.
No.1 You say explosion proof area. That does not, tell me what I need to know.
No.2. Is this a Class 1 or Class 2 or a Class 3.
No.3. What is the Division that you have? Is it a
Division 1, or a Division 2.
No.4. I really do not need the grouping letter,
but it would be nice to know.
Depending upon the Class, the grouping
letter could be A,B,C,D, for Class 1.
For Class 2,it would be E,F,G.
For Class 3, is Fibers,no grouping number.
Now with all of that said, I will say if you have a Class 1, Division 2, Group A,B,C,or D, you can use liquidtite conduit. Go to Article 501 in the NEC, Section 501.4(B)(2), and it states that you can use liquidtite in a 1-2-A,B,C,or D area.
Their is a FPN for grounding requirements, Section 501.16(B).
I hope this answers your question, but if you would like to give me a call, I would be glad to discuss this with you. (856)678-9003 Bob Friebel
