Anyone know of a list of ROP's being considered for 2011?

Heard a rumor - that someone is trying to ditch or otherwise min hieght limit recepticals in baseboards??????

Any info?

It will never fly... other wise so long to floor receptacles as well...

It may be part of the idea - or some sort of ADA for either HO's or the crusty old wheelchair bound EC's that install them?????? I certainly would not mind a more comfortable elevation to install recpts at..... One easilly reached from a rolling chair....

All receptacles and switches should be 48" AFF, this way I never have to bend over again to rough a house in... ;) :grin:

The ROP will be made public after the first code panel meetings have been completed and the balloting done. The deadline for proposals is November 7, 2008 at 5:00 PM EST. In other words and regardless of any rumors you have heard, no proposals for the 2011 code cycle have seen the light of day and no panel member has seen them either since they are still being received.

For what it is worth, this forum has an area where proposals made be posted and the other forum members will help with the wording so you will be able to make a sound proposal. It is not too late to start and the deadline is a hard deadline. Proposals received after the deadline are simply tossed into the trash. :smile:

Thats what I figured - but sometimes rumors can be true when you don't know the answer.....

Yep - know about that forum - I have one (and a 1/2) I'm working on there....
