These are 13w double twin F13DTTT lamps.
The ballasts have been going out

I have seen lots of LED retrofit kits for incandescent

Asking here if anyone has used any LED retrofit kits
LISTED for HALO 6" fluorescent recessed cans 2014-10-03 18.49.26.jpg

or just get a replacement ballast or
could replace the cans with deep junction boxes then mount surface-mount LEDs [way to messy]

Is there any listed product to get the power wires from the ballast enclosure to the driver

the 120v wires sure leave the little jbox in that flex to feed the two pin socket
if the ballast were abandoned,
too bad there isn't any material that would allow connecting up that LED driver to the 120v ct
popping the new LED trim over the old can:happysad:

If you bypass the existing ballast you could splice the pigtail lead included with the LED module onto the old socket leads. This would not be a listed method but 99.9% of the LED retrofits are not listed either.

Cree and some other manufactures include instructions for cutting out the existing medium based socket and splicing in the adapter. In your case the only real difference is you are also bypassing the old ballast.

LED retrofit HALO H427 was easy!!!

LED retrofit HALO H427 was easy!!!

I just replaced the ugly HALO H 427 with a led retrofit kit " 5 & 6 inch White Recessed LED Trim (T65) by Commercial Electric from Home Depot. It was not hard at all for a handyman like me. The HALO H427 has three screws fixed the housing dorm to the bracket. By remove the screws, the housing dorm can be dropped and you can reach the junction box behind the ceiling. I just disconnected the black wire power to the ballast and and connected the power to the black wire run to the housing dorm. Now the 110V AC is in the housing dorm and the LED retrofit worked so easy!!!
