Having a brain fart,
when listing for example a everyday 4500 watt water heater or any appliance which utilizes 2poles do you list the full wattage on both A column and B column (ex. 4500 on A and 4500 on B) or should I be splitting the wattage across the two phases (ex. 2250 on A and 2250 on B so the total =4500) something doesn't seem to jive when taking a total for one column and dividing by 120 volts to get amperage per phase, seems to high.

For any line-to-line load you allocate half the VA to one leg and half to the other.
This will give you a more correct line current on each leg when you add the VA up and apply either the single phase or three phase power to amperage conversion as appropriate.
