Can the emergency feed & the load wires be in the same conduit of a non-critical or a non life safety panel in a hospital. The chiller in question is 480 volt & has its own transfer switch seperate from essential equipment transfer switch. Therefore it is considered non-essential equipment in considering this.

Re: load and emergency feeds in same conduit

Article 700.1, especially the second paragraph explains the requirement for Emergency Systems, FPN # 2 explains some of the equipment that may be on emergency systems.

From NFPA 99:
4.4.2.2.4.1 Separation from Other Circuits. The life safety branch and critical branch of the emergency system shall be kept entirely independent of all other wiring and equipment.

See 700.9(B) and 517.44
