We have to install a Load Break Switch at 4.16KV 60HZ
Rated voltage supposed to be 7.2KV
Short circuit withstand current 21KA 1sec
What should be the ampere rating for this switch and how to calculate it?

You do not have enough information to make that caculation. What does it feed?

Are you the installer for this installation?

If so are you familiar with safe electrical practices and procedures for medium voltage when working with medium voltage switchgear?

Have you worked with medium voltage before? If so I'm intregued by the question which you have asked and why your asking it.

I'll be pleased to address your question if I am confident that you will understand the questions I ask and the answer that I of the others my provide.

Load Break Switch

See my pointwise reply
1- I have to procure and install LBS.
2- I am not well familiar with safe electrical practices and procedures for
MV swgear.
3- This task is new for me.

The point being made is, if you do not know how to calculate load requirements for a transformer, it shows that you are definitely not qualified to be selecting a medium voltage protective device such as this. It is extremely dangerous to mess with and a slight error in judgment can mean disaster, even death. Everyone would be better served by you selecting someone more experienced and qualified to do this part of the task.
