Load calc test in WA

I passed 2 out of 3 exams for the electrical admin. Even though. I have looked at videos and done excercises and have successfully done the calcs, when doing the test I don't find my numbers matching any of the options they have.

1. What is meant by "Do not include house and laundry loads" in the service load calculation?
I basically omitted the laundry and dryer loads. But my answer did not match any of the options.

2. What is done differently for duplexes? They do not fit in the single or multi family models.
I clearly have problem a calculating duplex family units service load because my answers were not close to the options they had.

Any recommendation on what to do to prepare better for my next test?

I know there are many options to consider and I have systematically approached the solutions. I also on't think this is rocket science...

House loads are associated with apts (or multi tenent commercial bldgs)
there usually is a panel/apt or tenent and one for the common areas: site ltg, hallways, etc

In a duplex there will be washer and dryer loads for each unit. And probably no common area loads at all. Calculate like two single family residences.

If an apartment has individual washers and dryers you will count them for each unit's panel. If there is a common laundry it should be on the house panel (and meter) instead.

I also had trouble getting amswers that matched the choices given exactly, but I got a 9 out of 10 after failing the first time. I also remember a duplex question that was quite ambiguous how to calculate it, but I don't remember specifics.

Demand on the service combines loads from both apt's. For example, each apt has two out of four qualifying fixed in place appliances. The demand for four applinaces at 75% does not apply to each apt but having four total it does apply to the service (drop, lateral, combined entrance).
