It just dawned on me. Most all of the dwelling load calculations that I've seen here and the ones in Annex D show the SABC's and Laundry circuits in addition to the general lighting load. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't 210.14(J)(1) say these circuits are included in the general lighting load calculation of 220.12...???

Yes but that just means we can use the demand factor table (220.42) for those. The rest is figured accordingly. That is my take on it.

Say what???

I know 220.42 applies to the general lighting load. What's that got to do with how the amount is determined before its application?

Take Example D1(a)... for example ...

General Lighting
4,500 VA
Small Appliance
3,000 VA
Laundry
1,500 VA
Total
9,000 VA
3000 VA at 100%
3,000 VA
9000 VA ? 3000 VA = 6000 VA at 35%
2,100 VA
Net Load
5,100 VA

Ooops! must be my day for #-ups. :ashamed1:

220.14(J)(1) says 210.11(C)(3) which is only Bathroom circuits.
