A panel is installed for 120/240V 100A. Does this mean that each leg is 100A or 50A, and does that apply to panels with larger amperage rating (ie: 200A is each leg 200A or 100A)?

Re: Load center amperage

100 amp panel, each leg is rated for 100 amps. 200 amp panel, each leg is 200, and so on.

Re: Load center amperage

Each leg of a 100 amp panel is rated for 100 amps, as Bruce said. But just to stir the pot a bit, the total (leg one plus leg two) is also 100 amps. 100 plus 100 equals 100.
