Then why do they always ask for a 15 amp circuit for each door?

That one has an option for (2) 1/4 HP DC motors.

If the single motor version needs 5 amps, it sounds like the dual motor option might need 10 amps at 120V.

5 amps may include needed rating for any options.

2- 1/4 motors is 373 watts, which would be 3.1 amps - then factor any inefficiencies and 5 amps seems reasonable expected draw.
