Can someone help define the terms as used in IEC load studies.

Specifically define how the Load Factor is derived as used below.

The values given for typical 415V, 3PH, KW motor loads RANGE from 0.7 to 0.99.
I would like to know where these values for the Load Factor come from.

The equasions below work only from an assumed Load Factor e.g. 0.7.
Consumed Load Factor ( KW )= Absorbed load / efficiency

Load Factor = Asorbed Load / Load Rating

Asorbed load = Load rating * Load factor

Help.

Re: Load Rating

I have never seen the term "load factor" used in the manner you are describing. Let me point out that there are two (apparently different) phrases in your description: "Load factor" and "consumed load factor." I don't know what either one of them means.

Let me also state that the phrase "load factor," as used in whatever source you found these statements, does not have the same meaning as the same phrase in the NEC (e.g., in Table B.310.10).

Where did you find this information?
