I was recently hired for a commercial tenant buildout in a new strip mall. The landlord's electrician installed the incoming switchgear in the building electrical room and stubbed conduits into each vanilla box. The unit I was hired to buildout has a 400 amp CT and fuse designated for it but didn't have a panel or wire installed yet. The electrical room has wall to wall modular metering and the conduit previously installed by the landlord is on the top or line side of the CT cabinet with the fuse located below. I had been told before by local utility workers that they did not allow load wires to pass through a CT compartment without a partition. I tried to find a code that I could reference when explaining to the landlord that I think his original installation needs to be revised, but I couldn't find one. Does anyone have any experience with this or a code number I can use?
Thanks,
Joe
