Coppersmith Senior Member Location Tampa, FL, USA Occupation Electrical Contractor Apr 29, 2017 #5 If you are worried about inconveniencing people in other rooms on that same circuit, you count turn off the breaker, disconnect the hot from the switch, cap it off, turn the breaker back on. When you're done working, just reverse the process.
