Have to install uffer tommorow early a.m. before concrete pour in a detached large garage that will be served from main house via 100 amp feeder. #6 cu is sufficient for uffer connection to rebar correct? I usually do a #4 in new construction for 200 amp services but given that only 100 amps is serving garage this is my plan. Seems like most always install #4 but I believe #6 is compliant 250.66 (B)?

Does the footing have 1/2" or larger rebar in it or are you laying in 20' of bare conductor?

The footing does have 20' - longer of 1/2" bar. If it did not then I would employ 20' of #4.

Thanks for clarification.
