We just moved in a warehouse in Gardena with a 120/240 three phase electric panel. Bought an electric forklift last week. The battery charger requires a 3 phase input. I had an electrician came in and installed the charger but he probably had no experience with 3 phase and blew 2 fuses on the Enforce SRC charger. He told me about the high leg and needed a transformer. I'm kind of suspicious. Hopefully I can find a more experienced electrician.

I can't help find an electrician in LA, but if the original electrician involved gets in touch we can help explain the problem clearly to the OP.

Have your electrician check the charger internal connections. It is a multi volt charger that will work on 480, 240 and 208, fuses and connections may need to be changed to match the input. Charger is probably connected for 480 internally, which is why it’s blowing fuses.

Yes the charger work on all voltages. We have the 240 three phase and the fuses inside are JTD 20amp. I see, if it was wired for 480 internally, and now we have 240 we probably need 50amp fuses ?

There’s more than just changing the fuses, your electrician needs to read the instructions.

Yeah this is risky bidness... @flyjames, your post was approved because you stated you're looking for an electrician, stick with that.

If there are fuses blowing the solution is probably not to install larger fuses...

The proper fuses and the internal connections need to be correct. The high leg issue may be significant, but this is unlikely. I agree with @hillbilly1 , this is simple if the instructions can be found and are followed. (The model number doesn't come up on the company website, however...)

Dealing with electrical issues can be frustrating, especially when it impacts your equipment. I remember when I had a similar problem with my home wiring. It took a couple of tries to find the right electrician who understood the situation.
