I need to locate a timer that would allow me to set a 10 min on - 20 min off sequence, that could possibly run all night or just a few hours a night, depending on the temperature. I have looked at several different sites and called a few supply houses but to no avail. If anyone has any knowledge of a timer that would do this I would appreciate any info you could give me.
Thanks in advance.

Plug-in? Switch replacement? Hard-wired?

What kind of load? A water heater (like for watering animals)? Lights? An engine heater?

It will be used as a control to energize a coil for a motor that will turn a pump on to keep cranberries from freezing if the temp drops, I was hoping to find one that I could mount in a control box with a small transformer and a couple relays.
Thanks for the speedy replys

Functional devices makes a relay with dry contacts that you could connect to an inexpensive thermostat, then have the relay run through an adjustable time delay relay

Thanks alot Ultra,
I will look into that, the person that normally handles this type of work in our shop had an accident and most likely wont be back. I have very limited experience in this type of thing but was asked to try and come up with something. I understand what I need to make happen, Its getting the parts and drawing it up thats a little more difficult.
Thanks again for the info

If you are going to use a time delay realy, I would look at this one. It will do about any timing function that you can think of. Combine it with a thermostat and you should be able to do what you want.

thats a pretty cool relay, I will have to keep that in mind on my next mad invention

Thanks for the replys, and Don thanks for the link, that looks like the cadillac of relays compared to the ones I've been looking at. I've always wanted to learn more about controls so I'm glad to be given this chance at putting this together.
Thanks again

If this were my problem I'd use a SPLat MS120 controller, with the anmalog addon, and connect that to a thermistor. Sure you need to put it in a box, and add a power supply, but a nice LCD display showing the time, the temperature, and the current cycle options, with buttons to override the automatic settings will impress the customer.

I'd actually like to use one of the tiny PLCs, but none of them seem to have analogue inputs on the base module, and by the time you get an expansible micro PLC and add an extra analog I/O block, its a more expensive solution than one would hope for.

ooh-ooh I want one

I like that relay! Having two adjustable times is pretty nice.
