Looking for an old Leviton Decora Illuminated Switch

Merry Christmas

My parent's house was built around 1989, and they used Leviton Decora Illuminated switches throughout. They are ivory but the trim around them is brown. My dad is borderline OCD and he's buggin the hell out of me to find some more because "some are flickering". He won't let me buy new ones because they "don't match." Anyway, the struggle is real.

Does anyone have any old stock or know what a valid P/N for them would be? I've tried scouring the interwebz and haven't found an ivory switch with a brown trim. I'm assuming these use a neon bulb in them since they glow orange. Does anyone know of any place for obsolete stuff like this? Anyone got an old catalog that shows the brown trim on an ivory switch option? Figured someone here might know.

Ya, we could, or paint it. Just wondering if they still exist anywhere. I wish he'd let me just put new LED ones in but that's never gonna happen.

The dang stars must have aligned. Out of the blue dad just called me and told me he found an old box. P/N is 5611-21M. Did a quick internet search and nothing. I'll mine a little deeper when I get free after lunch.

Box says Ivory, Brown Frame.

Can you combine the paddle of an ivory switch with the frame of a brown switch?

I would have to play with them to see which switch's body you'd end up using.

Possibly. I need to go to the local supply houses and see if I can even still get the switches with the incandescent or neon in them. I bet all the new stuff is LED now. I wouldn't know because I despise decora and don't put them into anything I own. I prefer toggles. Only time I touch them is when dad makes me work on his junk. LOL

I'm guessing it is something in this line...I've bought stuff from this guy once before on eBay and it was legit.

Worst case is moving working switches to where you want/need them, and using new ones where matching or being illuminated is less important .

No, Sir. 2nd generation Auto Body man. He still owns the body shop by grandfather started in 1928. He just turned 84. The shop is closed as of last April since he has trouble breathing from 40 years of smoking Salem 100s. He still goes down there and fixes Lionel trains as a hobby.

When mom and dad built their house, I was in high school. I first touched wires messing around helping the electrician wire it. I liked it so much it inspired me to get hired on as an apprentice in 1992 when I moved to college.

Sounds like he should be able to paint the switch trims himself!

So change the neon bulb yourself.
Soldering iron and some patience required: but watch out for the plastic snapping as it's likely old and brittle.
You know the voltage, and can guess the lumens.

@4x4dually 's swap 'em is brilliant. Though flickering in a basement may be worse...

He can. I just need to find where to buy ivory ones with neons in them. I still haven't found any literature that tells me a part number that I've found available online.

So change the neon bulb yourself.

An option I suppose but not one I'm just eager to entertain.

Check UPC 078477791356 for white. You'd have to reuse the entire brown faceplate.
Thanks. That results in P/N 5674-2W. So, you'd think an ivory would be 5674-2I. No search results. Looking at color choices on their page, white is only color available. It shouldn't be this hard to find a product. Leviton...do better.

I think they discontinued all colors but white.
Your job is to figure out how easy it is to swap the color plates :)
