I have three doctor offices the I need to install a ceiling mounted light in each office with three switches at the receptionist office so the receptionist can notify the doctors that there is a patient waiting for them. It's all on one floor with a suspended ceiling and the offices are about 60 feet away from where I would place the switches. I do not know why they can't just page him on the phone but who am I to argue with a bunch of doctors. They want to keep the cost down too so I have been scanning the internet trying to fine a low voltage signal lights and switches . I'm hoping somebody on this board has some ideas.

If cost is a major factor i would look into some kind of transmitter, receiver. That would cut install price way down, also your profit.Low voltage LED lights can be bought at auto parts store and come in colors. That would make wiring possable with phone wire and cheap 12 volt power supply.

I just saw all of these today, my boss bought me a free hot dog at the supply house, kinda cool!

Pass and Seymour sure have opened up a wide variety of combinations of things one didn't know they needed much less are now avaiable !

Generically, it's called a "patient waiting annunciator". You can get that system from most of the same places you buy nurse call stuff.

Got this quote from a product @ that link:

Receptionless Patient Arrival System. . . . .
The RPAS is a new LED based light system that is Global Warming Friendly. It is designed for Offices that have no receptionist. . . . .

well that's nice, but do they make one that is solar irradiance friendly?
