I,m 47 and I am looking into getting a electrical engineering degree. But just like most of everyone I don,t the time or the resources to quit my job and attend full time college for four years. I've attended some college in my younger years. I have a masters license in two state. And do a lot engineering types of project at work. SO I thought that a online school would serve my needs. If anyone has tried this or has some input on the best way of going about it. It would be a great help.

I would suggest a trip to your local public library. Head for the Reference Desk. These people are trained to find information, so they should be able to tell you what schools have on-line programs, what degrees they are accredited to confer, what their costs are, and anything else you might need to know.

I have taken online engineering courses with 2 different universities, but they were masters level so I can't be positive what the undergrad stuff was like.

However, I can tell you that overall Virginia Tech was a pain in the butt and the University of Idaho was great. I know you probably never would have thought of Idaho (unless that's where you're at), but they had a great program. They record the lectures on DVD and then mail them to you every week. You can watch them at your leisure, pause when you need to write something down, and then keep them for posterity if you need to review them later.

What I'm saying is check out the University of Idaho Engineering Outreach Program.

Finding online electrical engineering courses is hard. majority of them are mater degrees I found a couple of associates and no bachelor's degree; which is what I'm really looking for.
