Lost Ground During Pull

Hi All,

A subcontractor on my job recently lost a grounding conductor during their pull. The panel being fed from this pull is getting (2) sets of 500MCM paralleled. The sub asked if he can put both grounding conductors in the second pipe during the second pull.

I know this is not allowed, however, I cant seem to find the Article number to show them specifically where it is written.

Any help on this would be great!

If it is metallic conduit and you are a nice guy no grounding conductor of the wire type is required at all.

True, but he has to pull out the other one to stay in compliance.

Where does it say that in the code? He doesn't connect it up to anything on either end it's not an equipment grounding conductor it's just a wire that's not connected to anything.
