Whats the amperage on these #10's? Insulation type? Ambient temp? As derating will apply.
Short of getting a new code book - the 2005 NEC is avalable on-line free to view....

Otherwise you can get 16 thhn's in a 1", but at that point they are only good for roughly 20a depending on a few of the factors above.
