B bphgravity Senior Member Location Florida Feb 29, 2008 #3 Mean voltage is voltage that is not very nice. Seriously, I would bet you are actually looking for "root-mean-square", or the effective voltage fo the circuit. Or mean as in an intermediate value between the greatest and least value.
