Well it looks like iwire (Bob) will be hitting 10,000 posts soon.

Let's start a contest to guess when the day will occur. 8)

I say May 31.

Why? What is magic about it?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and speak for Bob. I've "known" him for several years now and I don't think he is one to get all excited about accolades or how many posts he has. He is knowledgeable, helpful guy that is doing what comes naturally. I greatly admire his knowlege and participation, and I consider him just "one of the guys" as I know he considers himself the same. 8)

So maybe I'm raining on the parade, but I say we shouldn't make a big deal about it.

Well, looking at his profile, I can take an educated guess, thanks to the new statistics.

Today, 4/14/06, at 6:05p.m. MDT, Bob has 9678 posts, leaving him with 322 posts to go to hit an even 10 grand.

At his reported 8.42 posts per day, it will take him 38.25 days to reach that level. I've got 58? and some pocket lint on May 28th.

Of course, that's barring him waking up one morning in late April, looking out the window, looking down at the callouses on his fingertips, and realizing there is a beautiful world out there he's missing. After this epiphany, I envision a restroom break and a straight caffieine-driven 12-hour posting binge putting him over on April 30th, at 11:53 p.m.

Bad luck to say "Mr. 10,000" though, because I'd hate to imagine him giving it up in a month and a half. 8)

TKB,

I just realized that you are one of his former co-workers so now I understnad that you know him personally and have a different perspective on this. If I'm out of line I'm sure both you and Bob will let me know.

Well, knowing Bob, he'll spread out his rebuke over six or eight consecutive posts, so we'll see it.

 <---This is me. ---->

Bob is an alien. On the planet that he comes from everyone is a code guru. They never sleep, have photographic memories and can recite the NEC backwards. This is evident when he has several consecutive posts. His alien brain keeps downloading critical information and it appears in a string of posts. One of the most amazing things about Bob is he never sleeps. My day typically starts at 4:15AM. I flip on my computer and Bob already has a number of posts up for that day. His last post on this topic was at 3:43AM.

"....Bob's an electrical genius. He won the science fair in eight grade by turning his ....."
(..from Mallrats)

Well, if you know it - you know it.
If not, PM me....

Thanks Byran. :)

Some of the present moderator bios.

Heck, even my company card does not list my title because I am doing different things each day.
